Welcome

My name is Bree Bonchay, and I am a licensed psychotherapist, with two decades of experience working in the field of mental health and trauma recovery. I specialize in helping people recover from toxic relationships, and share my insights about narcissistic personality disorder and psychopathy in my blog FreeFromToxic. My articles have been featured in major online magazines and I have appeared on radio as a guest expert. I am also a dedicated advocate. In 2016, I founded World Narcissistic Abuse Awareness Day, (WNAAD), which is celebrated every 1st of June.

Professional Affiliations:
Board Member, The Association for NPD/Psychopathy Educators & Survivor Treatment
Member, International Association of Trauma Specialists.

If my website and work has helped you or you support my mission to raise awareness and provide public pathology education, consider becoming a Patreon.

Even though a relationship with a pathological person forever changes you, pain and suffering can be relieved. Trauma and loss can be transformed. What is confusing can be understood. What has been lost can be rebuilt even better than it was before.

Through a blend of modalities, including the latest trauma-focused techniques and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral treatments, I work with my clients to resolve their cognitive dissonance, regulate their over-active nervous systems, decrease their ruminations and obsessive thinking, improve their mood and sense of well-being, identify their personality traits and behaviors that put them at risk in the presence of pathological individuals, strengthen their boundaries, and reclaim their lives so they can go on to have more fulfilling and satisfying interpersonal relationships.
